Game profile

Guiscard

A Wargame and Medieval game for 2–4 players, of 120 min and of medium complexity. It plays with hexagon grid, dice rolling and simulation. Recommended from age 12. The BoardGameGeek community likes it best with 2 players.

GUISCARD is a medieval man-to-man skirmish game and is a reboot of the original Game: Cry Havoc System. It is set during the epic conquest of Southern Italy and Sicily by the Normans, led by Robert Guiscard ("the cunning" or "the weasel"), in the eleventh century. The game features over 170 unique characters belonging to the various factions of the time as the Byzantines, the Arabs of Sicily, the Lombards, the Germans and the Normans of course, who came as mere mercenaries in the middle of this mess of conflicting interests and who decided to seize power by arms. GUISCARD is intended for those who want to play the Game: Cry Havoc System but who can no longer get an original box.
