Link It 4

A Dice game for 2–4 players, of 20 min and light on rules. It plays with dice rolling, push your luck and pattern building. Recommended from age 8. The BoardGameGeek community likes it best with 4 players.

Your goal in Link It 4, which debuted as Cuatro, is to create a line of four roof tokens before anyone else. On a turn, roll five dice up to five times, trying to get dice combinations visible on game board spaces. You can keep and re-roll dice as you wish, but the more you roll, the more restricted you are in where you can place a roof. Roll five times, for example, and you can place a roof only on an empty space, whereas if you roll four times, you can place a roof on an empty space or a space that already has one roof on it. If you can't place a roof anywhere, you discard one from your supply. If a player ever has a line of four visible roof tokens, whether diagonally or orthogonally, they win immediately. If a player has a roof token on all three jackpot spaces — which require a five-of-a-kind — they win immediately, no matter where those tokens are in the stack. If no one meets either condition before everyone runs out of tokens, players score for their placed tokens — 5 points for a roof at the fifth level, 4 points at the fourth level, etc. — and whoever scored the most points wins.
