Game profile
Tricky Traders
A Negotiation and Medieval game for 2 players, of 20–40 min and of medium complexity. It plays with action queue, simultaneous action selection and area majority / influence. Recommended from age 10. The BoardGameGeek community likes it best with 2 players.
The stalls are set up, and the first customers are already admiring the extensive range of products on offer. But they have no idea what‘s going on behind the scenes! As two rivaling trade guilds, you compete for influence over the marketplace, trying to improve the reputation of your own stalls, while getting rid of the unwanted competition. You and your opponent each have 2 goals: To support 1 market stall (the more fame, the better) and to ruin 1 market stall (the less fame, the better). The game takes place over 3 market days, with each day split into Morning, Noon and Evening. At each time of day, you play 2 influence cards to influence customers, rats and characters. At the end of each market day, each market stall will gain fame depending on how many customers and rats are at the stall along with which characters are also present. The player who best succeeds in both pursuing their own goals and thwarting those of their opponent will be victorious. —description from the publisher
